Outpost Packet Message Manager, v2.0.4, 5-February-2006 Copyright (c) 2003 - 2006 Jim Oberhofer KN6PE 1. Overview 2. Who should upgrade to v2.0.4 3. Update Notes 4. Whats new in v2.0.4 1. OVERVIEW ---------------------------------- The v2.0.4 release is an UPDATE to all 4 Outpost programs that were released as part of the general Outpost v2.0 release. This update assumes that the v2.0 release has previously been installed, and then the contents of the v2.0.4 update are applied. This release does not result in any data file changes. No data migration from the v2.0 release is required. In short, the user who choses to update with v2.0.4 need only copy the 5 files in the v2.0.4 zip file to the current Outpost directory. 2. WHO SHOULD INSTALL v2.0.4 ---------------------------------- This update adresses a couple of problems found since the v2.0 release, as well as adds additional enhancements that the user may find attractive. There is no compelling reason for installing v2.0.4 other than taking advantage of these new features. See secion 4 below for details. 3. UPDATE NOTES ---------------------------------- Version 2.0.4 is FULLY compatible with the v2.0 release. To use this update, Outpost v2.0 MUST have been previously installed. Installing v2.0.4 on top of any pre-V2.0 release will cause problems. All users wishing to use v2.0.4 must have previously downloaded and installed v2.0. The v2.0.4 distribution is not a full installation package. Instead, it only contains the executables and data files to replace specific v2.0 files that were previously installed with te v2.0.0 release. To install the v2.0.4 Update, proceed as follows: 1. Confirm that Outpost v2.0 was previously installed. If not, install v2.0 now. 2. Go to where Outpost v2.0 was installed, probably in the following directory... c:\program files\Outpost. Feel free to rename the current Outpost.exe to Outpost200.exe as a precaution (your choice). 3. Open the op204 Upgrade zip file. You will find the following files: Ipagwpe.exe Ipserial.exe Iptelnet.exe Outpost.exe Arldata.dat NEW README204.txt NEW 4. Copy the contents to the Outpost directory. 5. Run the program as usual. 4.
